Foreign students must provide proof of sufficient German language skills at German universities in order to be accepted. Since February 2016, “holders of a certificate of having passed the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule exam” have been exempt from proving their ability to study in German.

How is the exam structured?
The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 3 hours and 10 minutes. You have 20 minutes to prepare before the oral exam. The oral exam can take place on the day of the written exam or on another day.
The 3-month course brings you up to grammatical and academic speaking and writing level and at the same time prepares you for the telc C1 Hochschule exam.
