This 2-month preparation course is aimed at German learners who are working in medical care and want to improve their German for their profession or need a corresponding certificate for recognition as a skilled worker.
The course provides basic knowledge in the areas of hospital care, elderly care, and both outpatient and home care. It focuses on training the essential vocabulary and important phrases for workplace communication. This includes conversations with patients, family members, colleagues, and doctors, as well as making inquiries over the phone and scheduling appointments. Job-related listening and reading skills will also be trained.
Duration, Scope, and Requirements
The course takes place 3 times a week, with each session lasting 5 lessons. This totals 120 lessons over the course of 2 months. A B2 certificate is required to attend the course.
