With this language certificate from telc you prove that you can

• Communicate successfully with patients, doctors, colleagues and relatives
• Understand service instructions, care histories and dialogues relating to care
• Use written nursing documentation
• Be able to communicate productively in nursing and geriatric care.

This 2-month preparatory course is aimed at German learners who work in medical care and would like to improve their German for their profession or need a corresponding certificate for specialist recognition.
The course provides basic knowledge for the areas of hospital, geriatric care and outpatient care. Key vocabulary and important phrases for communication in the workplace are practiced. This includes conversations with patients, relatives, colleagues and doctors, as well as telephone inquiries and making appointments. In addition, work-related listening and visual skills are trained.

Duration, scope and prerequisites
The course takes place 3 times a week for 5 lessons each. That is a total of 120 lessons over 2 months. A B-1 certificate is a prerequisite for attending the course.
